Skills to be Successful
In a career spanning 20 years, Craig won 14 British Championship titles, competed in 5 European and 5 World Championships. He became the first person to captain England to team gold at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and four years later at the 2002 Commonwealth Games he secured gold again. Despite breaking his hand seven weeks prior, Craig fulfilled his childhood dream of competing at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, achieving a personal best in the All Round final. Since retiring from Gymnastics Craig works with people of all ages in various mentoring roles as well as a Commentator for the BBC at the last two Olympic Games.
Craig joined Dame Kelly Holmes Trust when it started. He is now a patron of several charities and also a trustee of Tyne & Wear Sport.
Over the years Craig has been committed to inspiring and working with the next generation.
