BUSINESS TO LEARN FROM THE BEST AT BUY YORKSHIRE
While the conference may have undergone a few changes this year, namely a fantastic new venue and jam-packed one-day format, one thing that will never change is the unrivalled line-up of inspirational speakers from some of the biggest businesses in the UK.
Showcasing speakers from a range of backgrounds, delegates can expect to be inspired by stories of global success, epic failure and unparalleled levels of determination and courage which has paved the way for future generations.
Connecting more than 530 million business people worldwide, LinkedIn hosts the largest global community of business professionals. So, what better way to prove that we are ‘stronger together’ than to invite the Global Content Marketing Leader at LinkedIn.
Also a professor, speaker and author, Jason Miller, will take to the stage to share how changes in society’s ability to multi-task are transforming how companies should approach their advertising strategy and content marketing efforts in the future.
As huge advocates of diversity and equal opportunity within business, we were truly thrilled to announce that Helen Pankhurst, women’s rights activist and great-grandaughter of leader of the British suffragette movement, Emmeline Pankhurst, would host what has become one of this year’s most popular seminars.
Acknowledging the impact that the suffragette movement still has one hundred years on, Helen will share findings from her recently published book Deeds Not Words, the Story of Women’s Rights, Then and Now, which will implore attendees to ponder why, despite a significant shift in attitudes, women still face discrimination.
Perhaps most famous for a business joke gone horribly wrong, Gerald Ratner continues to inspire with his humbling story about how he lost his billion-pound company and a brand that he had dedicated much of his life to before realising that the only way forward is to learn and move on!
Sharing just how it feels to lose it all, Gerald will explain how making the biggest mistake of his life has taught him some important life lessons which have allowed him to emerge triumphant once again.
Taking a break from Number 10, Chris Hamilton, Head of Digital Communications at Downing Street and the Cabinet Office and former Social Media Lead for BBC News, will be dropping by to offer delegates an insight into just what it takes to lead on content, data and development across the civil service.
Last in this round-up, but by no means least, Irina Parsina from Microsoft’s Customer Success Unit, will describe how, in order for businesses to stay successful and relevant in an increasingly digital landscape, organisations should utilise up-to-date technology alongside the creative suggestions of every employee in order to modernise ways of working.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our speakers who take the time to come and share their stories at Buy Yorkshire. This is just one of the reasons that we are the largest business to business event in the North.
We’re sure that this insight will have you logging on to register, but just in case you would like to hear about MORE speakers and seminars then don’t forget to visit the speaker page where you’ll find further details.
Please do remember that spaces are filling up fast, so don’t miss out and remember to register so that you secure your space at one of the region’s most successful business events.
