RECRUITMENT EXPERT STEPS FORWARD TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR BUY YORKSHIRE

The Works Recruitment announce their Gold Sponsorship of Buy Yorkshire 2018

As we start the official countdown to Buy Yorkshire, which takes place at Leeds First Direct Arena on Tuesday 15 May, we are very pleased to announce that The Works, a long-term supporter of the YM, has once again stepped forward to be named headline sponsor of the event.

A great regional connected recruiter, thought leader and trusted business advisor, we catch up with Founding Managing Director, Craig Burton, to learn more about his commitment to the event and what it means to his company.

Craig said: “Buy Yorkshire is a fantastic shop window for people who are serious about building business. It is also a great innovation and an example of best practice in the North. The success of the YM group is testament to the likeminded entrepreneurs who recognise the value of coming together, getting to know each other and ultimately having fun while you work and I consider Buy Yorkshire to be an extension of that.

“What makes the exhibition stand out from others is that you meet so many people, all with different stories to share. It’s not about selling, it’s about creating lasting relationships that allow you to share ideas. We have met some amazing candidates and have so many great stories to tell about the magic that has been created at Buy Yorkshire.”

As the only business to business exhibition that The Works supports throughout the year, Craig explains what value he feels his company is able to secure from being involved with the exhibition.

He comments: “Although we have supported other exhibitions in the past, we really do recognise the value that we can get from Buy Yorkshire. It’s about being visible and taking the opportunity to meet with people and to share the passion that we have for our brand and business.”

Having supported the exhibition in previous years, The Works understands that in order to attract attention from delegates you have to put time and effort into your stand and the message you want to share.

Craig continues: “This year we are going to focus on a theme, ‘Love your Talent’ which is about being a mindful employer. It’s something that we feel strongly about and is something that sets us apart from others in the market. Businesses often complain about how productive their workforce is but they don’t consider that for the most part you get out what you put in and that means treating people fairly. Not only does this support productivity but it also turns a business into an employer brand and encourages talent acquisition.”

In terms of business in general, we ask Craig what he predicts for 2018 and what he’s most looking forward to.

He concludes: “Gig working will continue to be a key trend for our industry and the war for quality engineering and digital skills shows no signs of slowing. At The Works we are looking forward to a positive year ahead where we expand and continue to work with our clients to ensure that they have the very best talents the market has to offer.”
