Helen Pankhurst, Great-Granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst & Women's Rights Activist

Helen Pankhurst is a women’s rights activist and senior advisor to the humanitarian and development agency CARE International working in Ethiopia and the UK. She is a Board member of ActionAid, and a Visiting Professor at the LSE and at Manchester Metropolitan University. Helen is the great-granddaughter of Emmeline and granddaughter of Sylvia Pankhurst, leaders of the British suffragette movement and has been keeping their legacy alive including by with support to the 2015 film Suffragette and in 2018 publishing Deeds Not Words, the Story of Women’s Rights, Then and Now’.
